A native of Cleveland, OH, Jay has been based in Brooklyn, NY for the last 12 years. Most recently, Jay completed a B.A. in Film and Political Science with honors at CUNY-Hunter College, winning "Best Experimental Film" at the 2009 Hunter College Film Festival (editor) and "Best Film- Drama" at the 2009 Film Skillet Summer Festival (DP/editor).

More recently, Jay has been freelancing for a variety of production companies and small businesses.
